An Introduction to Frenchic’s Al Fresco Inside/Outside Range

Frenchic's Al Fresco range of stunning water-based indoor and outdoor paints are perfect for brightening up your garden furniture – and your indoor furniture too! Already a favourite when it comes to freshening up front doors, our Al Fresco inside/outside range is a durable, weather-proof, UV-resistant chalk and mineral paint which has been specificially developed to protect and enhance your indoor and outdoor furniture.

Versatile, hassle-free and durable

The paints from the Frenchic Al Fresco range are self-priming and self-sealing, making them a convenient, hassle-free choice for your indoor and outdoor decorating needs. They are also self-levelling, to promote a smooth and attractive matte finish. These low-VOC paints are suitable for a variety of surfaces, including wood, laminate, uPVC, ceramics, composites and metal.

As with the other Frenchic paints and finishes, the Al Fresco range is UKCA and EN71-3 certified, which means it is safe to use on your children's toys.

Our elegant, creamy Al Fresco inside/outside range comes in a stunning palette of 19 permanent colours, so you have plenty of options to choose from, from subtle Duckling to the glorious British racing green of Victory Lane. In addition to these, we also release new gorgeous Limited Edition colours on an annual basis, so be sure not to miss out on those exciting additions to the Al Fresco range!

Applying Al Fresco paint

For your added convenience, the Al Fresco inside/outside range is touch-dry within one hour, and a second coat can be added after a minimum of two hours in normal weather conditions. However, we recommend you do not allow soft furnishings to come into contact with newly painted surfaces for 48 hours.

On areas which are liable to wear, it is recommended that you allow 3 weeks' curing time before heavy use. When painting outdoor furniture, to ensure a smooth finish, it is a good idea not to paint in direct sunlight and never in cold or damp conditions or when rain, fog or low temperatures are likely in the following 48 hours.
