Gaynor, Renasci Designs in
Overton, Basingstoke

“My passion for painting began with a single piece of furniture,” explains Gaynor. “Apart from its outdated look, it was solid, well-made, and fitted the space perfectly. So, I picked up a paintbrush instead. that was the spark and, as they say, the rest is history.”

“I eventually took the leap from my corporate career to follow that passion, and five years ago I opened my shop, Renasci Designs, in my lovely home village of Overton just before Covid hit and became a Frenchic stockist.”

“I still very much follow my passion and continue to paint. What I love most though, is when customers pop into the shop or get in touch online looking for advice.”

“After more than 12 years of painting furniture, I genuinely enjoy sharing what I have learned. I pride myself on offering honest, supportive customer service, and I honestly believe that once someone finds me, they are with me for the whole of their Frenchic Paint journey.”

Emma & Stuart, Not too Shabby, Walsall

Emma and Stuart tell us, “After trying many other brands we soon realised Frenchic was by far the best for its finish, ease of use, and the fact it has no strong smell. It ticked all the boxes for us, and we knew we wanted to stock it as soon as we tried it.”

Emma soon became a part of the admin team for the Frenchic Fan Forum which she loves doing. “Helping members with advice as well as spending time with customers in the shop, we never get bored of seeing people’s photos of projects.”

“We love where we work, we’re based on a farm, and it’s true they say, you’ll never work a day if you love what you do.”

Eric Pepper, The Craft Outlet, Lincolnshire

Upcycling is in Eric’s blood, as he tells us “Recycling is nothing new to our family. For several generations we've been recycling furniture.”

“My grandfather emigrated to Saskatchewan as a pioneer farmer and experienced hardship in the process. Nothing was wasted, with discarding anything a last resort.”

“When he returned to England as an older man, to supplement his pension, he bought the furniture which no-one would bid on at a local Wednesday auction, taking it home to repair, repaint and sell on at the Saturday auction, often doubling and more his purchase price.”

“We carry on the tradition here by selling the very best products - we know because we all use Frenchic products at work and at home!”

Bev Jackson, Upcycled with Style, Bulgaria

“My journey with Frenchic began in 2018 when my husband and I turned our first home here in Bulgaria into a guest house. We wanted to paint old furniture and strip and wax doors. Frenchic was the perfect product, and we were blown away by how easy it was to use.

I was nervous at the beginning, but with the support of the Frenchic HQ team, along with tips from other stockists within the Frenchic family, my confidence grew.

I cannot express how much I have loved Frenchic from the very first piece I painted, and as my experience and knowledge have grown, so has my passion.”

What’s next for Upcycled with Style? “I have recently completed a brand-new, purpose-built shop and workshop area, perfect for hosting all my classes.” And, as Bev explains, “If you haven’t yet tried Frenchic, why are you waiting to start? We all need beautiful colours in our lives.”
