Which surfaces can Frenchic Self-Adhesive Vinyl Wraps be applied to?
Ideal for use on kitchen surfaces and flat-pack furniture. Ensure the surface is clean, smooth, flat, and free from damp before application. Not suitable for use on floors.
Are any specialist tools or equipment required?
We recommend using the Frenchic Application Kit, which contains a smoothing tool and a utility knife with reusable snap-off blade. You will also need scissors, a ruler or tape measure, a pencil, and a hairdryer.
Are Frenchic Self-Adhesive Vinyl Wraps heat resistant?
Surface wraps are heat resistant for short periods up to 70°C. Sustained intense heat may cause damage so always use mats for hot pans. Do not use next to an open flame.
Are Vinyl Wraps removable?
Yes, surface wraps can be removed. Peel back a corner and pull away from the surface. Using heat from a hairdryer will help the removal process.
Can I clean the wrap without damaging it?
Yes, use a standard household cleaning spray. Avoid abrasive cleaners, alcohol-based solutions and bleach.
How do I apply to curved or rounded edges?
Use a hairdryer on a low setting to make the wrap more malleable. This allows it to mould around curved edges. Be careful not to overstretch it.
What if I make a mistake?
Small air bubbles can be pricked with a pin and smoothed out. The adhesive used for Frenchic Self-Adhesive Vinyl Wraps becomes stronger and bonds over time, reaching maximum strength after 24 hours. If you make a mistake during application or find that you’re getting creases or bubbles, simply peel back and re-apply taking care not to overstretch it.
Are Frenchic Self-Adhesive Vinyl Wraps suitable for outdoor use?
Outdoor use is not recommended. If water gets under the surface it will compromise the adhesive. The wrap may also be prone to fading if used outside.
How environmentally friendly are Frenchic Self-Adhesive Vinyl Wraps?
Our vinyl wraps contain no heavy metals, comply with colour fastness DIN EN ISO 105-B02 and are wear and abrasion-resistant according to DIN EN IS0 105-X12. Only solvent-free dispersion adhesives are used. They are safe for children’s rooms if used according to instructions.
