Title

Colour tells a story. So, with that in mind, I have chosen three palettes to reflect three moods. The bold glamour of the 1920s, the expressive energy of maximalist living, and the gentle charm of modern countryside calm. Each palette has examples with complementary tones and real-life references to help you not just see but feel the combinations as they come to life.

Collection One: Art Deco

I chose this palette to honour the beauty and boldness of the 1920s and 30s in a time when interiors were styled with pride and colour was part of the performance. These tones aren’t just decorative, they are part of a world of polished brass, velvet upholstery, mirrored bars, and Art Deco flourishes. I built each combination to feel like something you might have seen in that era and nod to its elegance.

1. Blackjack - this deep black is the backbone of the palette. The tuxedo shade. In Deco spaces, black wasn’t just dark. It was sharp, stylish, and full of intention.

2. Bon Bon - a soft dusky pink with the feel of face powder and satin linings. It brings a romantic calm to this bold era.

3. Plum Pudding - is a rich plum tone feels indulgent, like something saved for evening - it’s the Deco mood of deep, layered, a little dramatic

4. Irish Dance - emerald and full of life, this green is rooted in heritage but has the energy Deco     loved. Its bold but never chaotic.

5. Hot as Mustard - a rich ochre-yellow that adds a sense of spice and sharpness. It's the kind of gold Deco adored, but turned matte.

6. Nutcracker - a classic navy with the calm authority of a naval jacket or lacquered wall panel. It’s quiet, composed, and always dressed.

Collection Two: Dramatic Maximalism

This palette is built for impact. It’s about colour as identity, fearless combinations, rich tones, and layers of personality. Maximalist spaces don’t whisper. They speak, loudly and beautifully, through contrast, texture, and curated chaos. I chose each colour for its ability to hold attention and work together in bold harmony. It feels both expressive and considered.

1. Bandido - a smoky charcoal-brown that brings depth without coldness. It’s grounding, stylish, and quietly dramatic.

2. Victory Lane - this racing green is bold, rich, and self-assured. It’s the kind of colour that fills a space without needing anything else, but it also layers beautifully.

3. Kiss me Sloely - a deep berry-rose that feels emotional, rich, and artistic. It’s a colour that holds softness and strength at the same time.

4. Hottie - this vivid fuchsia brings instant energy. It’s fun, rebellious, and full of personality. This is a colour that doesn’t wait to be noticed!

5. Earthy - a terracotta shade with grounding energy. It’s natural, nostalgic, and rich. It's a colour that connects the louder tones back to something solid.

6. Honeycomb - golden, glowing, and joyful, this ochre yellow brings a flash of sunshine and a layer of retro character.

Collection Three: Modern Cottagecore

This palette is rooted in the charm of countryside living. Think heritage details, soft textures, sunlit rooms, and gardens in bloom but with a fresh, contemporary twist. I’ve chosen these colours to feel calm, warm, and gentle without becoming overly sentimental. They create homes that feel grounded in memory, but clear and breathable in the present.

1. Smudge - gentle, earthy grey that reads like a soft shadow. It gives structure without feeling cold.

2. Mother Duck - A soft teal blue that feels both whimsical and grounded. It brings a sense of nostalgia, like a painted garden gate or a weathered jug.

3. Lilac Hue - a light lavender with a calming presence. It’s soft without being sugary the kind that whispers instead of shouts.

4. Rosy Dusk - a warm, dusty rose that feels like the end of the day. Soft, kind, and quietly familiar.

5. Apple Barn - a heritage red that feels like autumn walks, orchard baskets, and cosy kitchens. It’s classic and full of heart.

6 Eggnog - a soft, creamy off-white that brings comfort and light without glare. It’s warm, calming, and deeply liveable.
