Discover Frenchic’s New Chalk Wall Paint Colours for 2023

Discover Frenchic’s New Chalk Wall Paint Colours for 2023

Over the past 12 months, we’ve been hard at work curating even more beautiful shades for our Chalk Wall Paint range and matching Trim Paint range. And why not? Our Chalk Wall Paint was chosen by the Good Housekeeping Institute as the best washable paint and best chalk paint.

So, it makes sense to give you lots more choice with these award-winning paints. These two collections now boast over 150 colours, so you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to your walls, skirting boards, doors or even radiators.

Ready to dig a little deeper into our new selection of colours? Read on for a few of our top highlights…

1. Whites and almost whites

Whites and off whites are always popular colours, as they are calming and easy to use for any style of interior. In our newly expanded Chalk Wall Paint range, there are now more than 15 – from the slightly warm, greyish off-white Cloud 9 to the classic, clean white Whiter than White.

Needless to say, we absolutely love them all and struggle to choose favourites. But if you’re looking for some stand-out shades, check out nuanced-neutral Ghost, super-pale grey Moon Whispers and the creamy wonder that is Marshmellow!

2. So much colour!

We’ve previously mentioned how we expect bolder colour choices to take hold in 2023. But it’s easy to feel a little cautious about adding colour if you aren’t used to it. Neutral and natural shades are a great way to inject colour in a safe way because they aren’t challenging to the senses.

Our Chalk Wall Paint range now includes a choice of soft, botanical shades, which are ideal for exactly that. If you’re on the search for a bit of colour to lift your surroundings without going all out drama, Green with Envy can keep things muted – even when colour drenching

Other inspiring, botanical shades we are loving at the moment include:

Feeling a bit braver?

Of course, there are also a selection of bolder options if you’re ready to dive right in. Welcoming and warming yellows like Honeycombe are a great choice…

Love yellow but need to pare back?

Earthier tones are a natural choice for the cautious. You can’t go wrong with slightly smoky Straw Hat, soft Haley J or pale Crème Caramel.

3. Scandi cool

Year upon year, Scandi style manages to maintain a foothold in the design world. And 2023 is no exception!

When it comes to the Scandi vibe, Jitterbug is one of our top choices from the new Chalk Wall Paint additions. Perfect in any setting, it’s dark enough for a little drama without being brash or overwhelming. It looks simply stunning with plain whites (or near whites) and wood…

Another shade that lends itself to a cool Scandi scheme is warm, pinkish-red Clay Pot – the perfect accent foil for blue-based greys like Duckling and Seagull.

4. The bestseller

Now, it’s all well and good going through trends and different types of colours included in our new additions. But we know that everyone wants to know which of our colours has come out on top in terms of popularity.

So, without further ado, top of our bestselling list is – drum roll – Silver Birch!

It’s easy to see why. Pale yet interesting, this light greige has quickly caught the imagination of so many customers. It’s fabulously calming and understated, appearing silvery grey in some lights with beige notes popping up in others.

It’s the consummate neutral, which looks great in practically any room throughout the home…

Find your perfect colour

With more than 150 colours to choose from, you are sure to find a few shades that fit what you’re looking for in our Chalk Wall Paint or Trim Paint ranges. That’s great – it’s always better to have more options than not enough. Nobody wants to settle for the colour that’s almost what they wanted, after all.

To make sure you choose the right colour once you’ve narrowed it down to a few, you can order 10ml sample sachets for all of our Chalk Wall Paint colours. This way, you can try them out before you commit.

Remember, these colours are exactly the same in our Trim Paint range, but with a soft satin sheen – so, you can use the same matt testers to try out colours from both ranges.
